The dry hair loses its natural moisture due to reasons such as the excessive sun, excessive heat, and/or use of chemicals in the wrong way.

Dry hair makes it more easily damaged.

As the hair loses its moisture and dries out, it loses its vitality and its appearance becomes more damaged and dull. In addition, dry hair is more vulnerable to damage since it becomes less elastic and soft and therefore can get tangled and broken more easily.

In the case of having dry or damaged hair, instead of spending immolated amounts of money on medicines and other hair repair products, we can make a small visit to the kitchen where we will find natural and tremendously effective solutions to improve the condition and health of our hair.

Natural masks for dry or damaged hair

1. – Olive or coconut oil mask

Minimally heat a little oil, taking care not to burn yourself (for example olive oil, or coconut oil …) and rub the scalp with tenderness.

We can add a couple of drops of castor oil or a small spoonful of almond oil to give more nutrients to our scalp.

Spread the oil with the help of a comb and let stand for a couple of hours (we can also do it before sleeping, leaving it in effect at night).

Clean the hair with a mild shampoo the next morning.

2. – Vinegar mask

Vinegar regulates the pH of our hair in addition to cleaning it from possible contamination. It also serves to eliminate dandruff that makes our hair look drier and number than it really is.

Mix a little vinegar with two glasses of water and two drops of marrow oil, and clean the hair every day with the mixture. Rinse hair thoroughly after washing with vinegar.

3. – Mayonnaise Mask

Cover all hair (from root to tip) with mayonnaise and cover the hair with a shower cap or plastic bag for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, clean the hair with a mild cleansing gel or shampoo.

4. – Cocoa butter mask

Heat some cocoa margarine and rub it against the scalp and dry (or damaged) hair. Let stand for 10 minutes before rinsing with water.

Cocoa butter conditions the hair and gives it a solid shine.

5. – Egg mask

Beat the yolk of 2 eggs and apply the mixture on the scalp and hair making sure not to leave any free area. Let it sit for a while we massage (15-20 minutes) and rinse with cold water and shampoo.

To improve the result, we can add to the mixture of the two eggs, a tablespoon of olive oil and one of vinegar. Rinse after 15 minutes. The eggs will strengthen the hair and give it shine.

Apply this mask once a month

6. – Avocado and banana mask

Let an avocado or banana ripen and once ripened, crush the meat to make a kind of paste and apply on the hair. Rinse the mixture with warm water an hour later.
